CHICAGO, March 28, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Varitalk Holdings, LLC is pleased to announce it has successfully completed its bid, begun in December 2009, to purchase all of Varitalk Inc.'s assets. The new group plans to leverage Varitalk's platform, brand equity, and unmatched market intelligence to continue delivering world-class advertising solutions as well as innovative new personalized retail products and services. Investors include New York based Harry Kargman, founder and CEO, Kargo, LA based Moise Emquies, creator of top fashion brands Ella Moss and Splendid, and LA based Ben Feingold, former President of Sony Home Entertainment and a highly successful investor in both media and entertainment ventures. Former Varitalk co-founder, Chairman, and CEO, Frederick Lowe, will serve as Varitalk's President.
Varitalk's mobile campaign for New Line Cinema's "Snakes on A Plane", in the voice of Samuel L. Jackson, rocked the advertising world and legitimized both IVR and viral advertising as serious marketing forms. In the three years since, Varitalk has delivered nearly a hundred additional campaigns and tens of millions of individually personalized celebrity messages. "I am pleased to serve the company and to help Varitalk grow on the solid foundation we built, to truly capture its enormous potential," said Lowe.
Feingold echoed Lowe's enthusiasm, saying, "With the experience of Harry and Fredrick in new media and telecom and the support of myself and Moise, Varitalk is poised for growth." Kargman agreed, "The only missing pieces at Varitalk before this acquisition was reliable billing and distribution," adding, "those days are past."
New initiatives at Varitalk include a planned Channel Partnership program that will empower participating agencies to harness Varitalk's market-proven personalization platform, while taking the lead in creative direction and execution. For paid content, Varitalk will offer enhanced billing and delivery options, enabling innovative personalized content and services through App Stores, social networks, and IP, wire line and wireless service providers.
To accommodate planned growth, the company has already begun to move its Chicago headquarters into a substantially larger new space. In addition, Varitalk is in the early stages of re-opening sales offices in Los Angeles and New York.
